Want a custom design but not sure where to start or what to do next? The process is actually quite simple. You let me (Allison) know what you would like to order, I let you know how much it will cost, I will design proofs, and then we work together on your custom invitation until it’s perfect and all ready for print! In case you would like more details, here are step by step descriptions. Enjoy!

  1. SUBMIT YOUR DESIGN REQUEST
The first step to designing your custom invitation or other design is filling out the "Request a Custom Wedding Design & Quote" Form. Due to the detailed nature of custom wedding invitations, please contact me at least 3 months before your invitation “mailing date” to ensure on-time delivery.

  2. CHAT WITH ALLISON
We can discuss your design request via facebook/e-mail messages or chat via Skype or telephone to make sure we are both on the same page.

  3. QUOTE
A cost estimate based on your submission will be provided for you during our chat, or very soon afterwards.

  4. SELECT INVITATION STYLE
There are so many combinations I can put together for you. From flat invitations of all different sizes to invitations with ribbon or pockets! If you need something a bit more custom, or want to save some money and DIY some things yourself, I will put together a style to fit your needs!

  5. COLORS, FONTS, PATTERNS & GRAPHICS
The available ink colors, font options, pattern types, and graphics are pretty much endless! With your help, we will review samples to see what you do and do not like in order to find a perfect combination for your big day. Feel free to send me links to any designs you like (even if it's not in your colors), as well as fonts and colors you would like used on your invitations. And yes, I can match colors to your bridesmaid dresses, just send me the designer/shop and the color name! ;)

  6. PROOFS & REVISIONS
You will receive complimentary proofs during the entire proofing process. Feel free to ask about changing the colors, shades of colors, patterns, fonts, etc. For any MAJOR changes, I will provide you with a new estimate, if needed. Once I receive your requested revisions, I will get to work on an updated set of proofs. We’ll exchange emails or calls back and forth until the designs are perfect!

  7. APPROVE FOR PRINT
Once you are completely happy with your invitation suite, let me know that you approve it for print! At this time I will send you a link for payment for you to complete asap. Once your payment has processed, your order will be sent to print! Standard turn-around time after this step is 5–10 business days.

  8. FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR PRINTED CUSTOM DESIGNS!
Once your lovely designs arrive, please send me a quick message and let me know everything arrived and are as expected... or even better than you could have ever imagined! Please remember that Invitations should be mailed to your guests 8 to 10 weeks prior to your wedding.

  9. SNAIL MAIL & HAND DELIVER
I recommend assembling one wedding invitation (with all enclosures, envelopes, labels, ribbons, etc.) and take it to your local post office to be weighed for needed postage cost. Check out available wedding stamps (or something lovely to match your custom design) available at the post office, online at USPS.com or at Zazzle.com for custom options.
